The Key Points to Consider When Installing a Sterilizer:

Positioning and Installation:

1. Whether the sterilizer is easy for personnel to enter and install?
2. If need to equip on a higher floor, is there a suitable elevator to enter?
3. Is there enough space around for service access?
4. Room dimension – How much space do you really have?
5. Floor area: comprehensive consideration of equipment operation and maintenance.


If installed on the ground or in a pit, the surface should be firm and flat. If be installed in second floor or above, the user should consider whether to need to undertake reinforcement to the floor according to specific circumstance.

Ventilation and Cooling:

In order to ensure the normal operation of equipment and comfortable working environment, suggested that after the equipment is in place on the partition, in order to reduce the noise and heat influence on working environment, and work in chamber and equipment above installed a set of suitable ventilation system, to control the environment temperature and humidity of the surrounding of the sterilizer.


Selecting a drain pipe with a larger size than the drain outlet configured by the sterilizer, and the drain pipe should be separately led to the ditch and discharged outdoors. It should not be connected with other drainage pipes in the room as far as possible, otherwise part of the steam discharged by the equipment during the working process will affect other rooms. If there are more than one drainage outlet, they shall be drawn out separately. If possible, a trench with a width of at least 200mm and a depth of 200mm should be set at the corresponding position and discharged outdoors according to the installation drawing. Try not to share the drainage system with other pipes.
Drainage pipe should be installed from high to low to avoid too many corners and keep the drainage unblocked, otherwise it may cause wet bag.

Selection of Steam Generation:

Built-in Steam Generator

Directly connected to a separate chamber of the main autoclave vessel. As with the “chamber” system, steam generation is controlled by the autoclave temperature controller.

External Steam Generator

As long as the steam is close enough to the autoclave installation, it can be certified as a steam source. Autoclave requires high quality dry steam to function properly.

Steam Source

Dry saturated steam shall be supplied to the sterilizer.

Sterilizers use steam under certain pressure as the sterilization medium, so the quality and pressure of steam determine the sterilization effect. The solid particles and condensed water carried in the process of steam transportation should be removed, and the steam pressure of 0.3~ 0.5Mpa should be guaranteed (the pure steam pressure of 0.25~ 0.35Mpa should be guaranteed in the case of double-way steam inlet method). If the pressure is too low, the sterilization procedure cannot be carried out smoothly. Too high pressure is easy to become superheated steam, affect the effect of sterilization.
Avoid installation in heavy dust, oil mist containing conductive particles, corrosive gas, flammable gas environment.
